ABSTRACT: In this presentation, I will describe the upcoming week-long Power of Data Workshop and the high school and middle school Mapping Competition. The workshop is a 35-hour paid opportunity for New England high school or middle school educators. Over the course of the workshop educators will learn about the Geospatial Inquiry process and enhance a lesson utilizing the Geospatial Inquiry Template.
The Statewide Mapping Competition is a story map, Web app competition for either middle or high school students. The top 5 selections in each category wins $100 and the chance to display their product at the Users Conference in San Diego in July, 2019. Schools that participate must have an Esri organizational account.
